DESIGN :
Two inch tubular frame with approximately 14 inch drive gear. Frame is of chrome-molly, chrome-molly was not used on generation 1 to 3. Track is 12 inches wide with 1.25 tall lugs. Total length of track is approximately 94 inches. They will raise the vehicle about 3 to 4.5 inches. This design is in its 3A generation which has the easiest steering track design then the generation one to three. Generation 3A has the new hub design with stronger bearings then previous years and a removable hub in case you ruin a bearing race after many years of use.

SPEED:
Since this is gear reduced you will loose approximately 30 to 40 % of top end speed but generation 3A will go at least 10% faster then generation 1 to three. Since it is gear reduced you will be able to pull up to 5 times the weight of tires.

STEERING:
The generation 3A has had the front of the front track raised higher then generation 1 to 3 and the hub offset has been changed to make them steer easier.

INSTALLATION:
The first time set-up is about 1.5 to 2 hours, after initial installation you must remove torsion arm brackets before re-installing tires. After two or three times of installing time will be 1 hour to remove or install.

MY OPINIONS:
These Tracks are very strong but a old design. One hub fits only one machine and to upgrade to another machine with a different bolt pattern could cost up to $1000.00. They stear a little harder then the newer styles like the x-gen. The price in 08 went up quite a bit.Comparing it to the newer styles would be like comparing a carburated atv to a fuel injected. You will find a lot of these on ebay so make sure you get them at a reasonable price if it is not a exact fit.In 08 they went to a 13 inch wide track which is much needed in deep snow

LIMITATIONS:
Since this is a gear reduced, your gas mileage will be ½ of your mileage with tires. Bring extra gas. The kits are for exact models and it will cost 5 to 1000.00 dollars to change to another machine.
